Win Yerself a Quality Pasadena Tee

What building is this?

First one to answer correctly gets a Pasadena t-shirt (size small, that's all I've got). The shirt's an attractive navy blue with sophisticated gold lettering. I'm in possession of this nice, new shirt partly thanks to the generosity of Ann Erdman, Pasadena PIO, and partly thanks to the fact that I don't know what size I wear. (Well, now I do, and it ain't "small.") Answers will be accepted only in the comments section for this one.

John, Boz and I are going to the dog beach today. I'll announce the winner when we get back. But you guys'll all know by then anyway. Good luck and thanks for playing!

Awww. I have nothing, sorry. And that t-shirt sounds very fetching. {And I'm definitely size small. Pooh.} Yay to Ann! And yay to Petrea for giving away something lovely. Have a wonderful time at the dog beach, and good luck everyone else!

PS: At first, I thought I was trying to win a Quality Pasadena Tree.

I know, you now say: for you, Italo, it's too easy!!! :D
You're right, I will say a lie: it's a city library.

I think it's Macey's on South Lake Ave (aka Bullock's of old)

I'm working on it...

Yes, the correct spelling is tRee, P. Am I the only blogger who can spell in Pasadena?

Yes, I recognize the bldg just don't recall it. The trees - I have nothing on. I've asked my assistant, Professor Margaret to work on this for me. I hope to give her an "A."

PS: P enjoy your staycation.

yeah, I think James wins the tee, my vote is for Macy's, too. I'm guessing the photo was taken facing north, in the parking lot just off of Hudson, south of TJ's.

Of course, I'm totally making this up.

I think its the Macys too. But that reminds me isn't there a starbucks there? And that reminds me that I need some coffee.

Soooo, I'll throw my hat in with Macy's...only because I recognize it...but really can't place it...and Macy's sounds good enough for me!!! Love that when they renovated Macy's it stayed the same!!! Good job renovators!!!!

If you aren't a small then I must be an XXXL. Wait...mebbe you are ex sml?

ok ok ok my guess is the great Sear's tower on Foothill in East Pasadanadana. PS. I was just looking at the blurb you got in Pasadena Magazine back in 2008 (throwing out the old mags today).

I love that you're recycling your fabulous prize!

No clue but I love the idea of the dog-beach - sounds as though you'll be dog tired and worn out when you get back.

Pass, but I like the trees!

at first look, I was going to say the old Holiday Inn on the backside of the Civic, but the old Bullocks or I. Magnins makes more sense.

but, I also would not fit in a small tshirt---perhaps my head might....so should that my "guess" is correct, I defer to someone else a little closer.

hope the staycation with the pup on the beach went well

I can attest that, IMHO, MH needs a Large or XXX top - whatever you call it. She's wunderful.

She's good too.

I'm woefully sad because I did not get to go to the beach. Worse, Boz didn't get to go to the beach either. We will try again.

However! Lemons from lemonade! Wait. No. Lemonade from...Anyhow.

Most of you are incorrect (no one's wrong, of course, "wrong" being such an unhappy, sour lemon sort of word). You are all delightful but only one of you is correct! She of the wunnerful wunnerful topside, Miss Havisham, recognized the classic mid-century architecture of the Sears store at Hastings Ranch.

We don't associate Sears with classic architecture and truly, most of the building isn't gorgeous. But the west end has a certain chic.

Miss H., I shall deliver your prize personally, should you wish.

I say it's the Sears building on east Foothill

Yipeee! Come on over. I will roll out the dirty red carpet for you. I'll demonstrate how fine a small tee can be used as a tea cozy.

There is a beach for dogs?

Petrea Burchard said...

D5Rep you are correct, but Miss Havisham got there before you.

This was fun! I'll have to look around the house and see if I've got anything else to give away. I think we have an old router. Anybody want a router?

Dina, some areas are designated as "off-leash" areas, where dogs are free to run. There are parks and just a few beaches. Very special places!
