Zen Birthday: #50

Last week was a special Zen Monday for lovers of the Space Program and adventurous hearts throughout the world. This week is a special Zen Monday for my love and the light of my life.

Zen Monday is (usually) the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about. Ordinarily I don't like to influence your thoughts about the photo, but today I can't help but give you a hint.

Thanks for the hint. I'm down to 50:50 on this one:
Which one is your love, and which is the light of your life??

And, it's obvious you aren't looking at this clearly.

But his eyes are sharp and clear. The kind of man who can look you straight in the eye and say truth.
You are blessed to have one another.

Uh... happy birthday Jon? Do I win the prize? (Or more cake???)

I meant John. I'm used to the other spelling. (And delirious from so much cake.)

I got it. The love of your life is neither the sitting man nor the dog - it is the woman in the t-shirt striding purposefully away between them.

Do I win?

It's beautiful your love! Really. I'd like to have it. PS: the guy near your love seems tired! :D

The first thing that I thought before I read your caption was, "Instead of giving up the ghost, this is the ghost giving up." Ha!

I had loved my 40th birthday, and on the half way to 50th and enjoying everymoment of it. Happy birthday for the hint..

I'm nearly as misty-eyed as your lens, Petrea. {Happy birthday, John, assuming Boz isn't a Guinness Book of Records puppy dog.}

Hee hee, Cafe!

Yes, well, I'm not objective about it, that's certain. You have to blow this one up to see all the details. But I liked it and wanted to post it. Yes, it's John's birthday, and although the woman striding away is dear to me and I adore her little girl (who you'll see if you enlarge the picture), John is the love of my life.

Italo, you seem to know how much I love my dog. And you made me look up a word! Thank you for that.

Nikki, good one.

Aysegul, there's plenty to look forward to, even past 50 (so I hear).

Thank you, Shell. Boz may hold some records, but nothing in the Guiness book. Slowest on the trail, longest nap, that sort of thing.

Happy birthday to John! Lovely photo, Petrea.

Ok, we got 1/2 of it down - your love: Jon. Happy B-Day!

Now the light of your life leaves 3 choices. So, I gotta assume it's naturally me! I mean the dog, Boz deBoxer.

Nikki Beaumont said what I was going to say--or close enough. Happy birthday to your love.

I could have found a more handsome picture. He does look a little shocked.

Happy Birthday John and fellow Ruby celebrant! I just got my 4 zero! I hope 50 looks as good on me in ten as it does on you! Enjoy a fabulous day with your fabulous wife! :D

The word verification is suckar. I'm not sure if I'm offended for you or for me. ;)

I'm thinking you need to lay off the 'shrooms a bit.

J looks a little shocked, but I've heard that about old people...heh-heh.

Boz looks like he wants to help the little girl...or chase her.

caption...I'm 50, my future is a little fuzzy, maybe I'll lay down for a spell..

(Shhh, I don't want Boz to hear me: happy birthday, John, love and light of Petrea's life.)

Nothing to see here, Boz, keep moving. There's a good boy!

word ver: laboor!

Happy B-day John! I hope you've been having a wonderful day, with just the right amount of Zen. (Great photo btw Petrea. Great combo of movement and stillness.)

I hope John had a wonderful birthday. I remember the "perfect day" he concocted for your b-day.

Petrea Burchard said...

Thanks, all. We had a good day and we're tired! Yay! I love birthdays.

I can live without them … but not without you.

Where is the ghost lady going in such a hurry?

Fraz, she's trying to catch that runaway baby.
