Lazy Sunday

This spring our stretch of gloomy skies seemed longer than usual. Finally it's sunny and toasty. Just what I wanted! So, after last night's excitement, I'm going to spend spend a relaxing day in the sun.

Maybe I'll take Boz for a walk. We'll stop and sniff every blade of grass.

Okay. Maybe...I'll go for a drive.

Nah, don't want to waste the gas.

There's always my yard. I could bask in the shade of my tomato plant.

I know. I'll see what's up at the LA County Arboretum. I haven't been there in a while and they've got some interesting stuff blooming right now. Now that's a garden. Too bad I can't take Boz, but I think he'd object to the peacocks. Or vice versa.

You have lots of lovely choices there, Petrea. I'll second Boz's vote for w-a-l-k. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a gorgeous time!

Escapist, that can be either good or bad, depending if I want something new or what I've always had. But I think I'll try something new.

Boz isn't allowed at the Arboretum, Shell. I'll have to come up with something else for him.

I'd threaten to take Boz with me---more often than not we've been hunted by peacocks and peahens at the Arboretum. Tell them he's your Guide Dog for Defense of Peas!

A good walk does make a difference. But on a garden visit, I look forward to your next entry.

Just found your blog in my search for 'a photo a day' from various places. Interesting way of getting to see other places from an insider's perspective. Mine is from Lancaster, UK. Hope you can find the time to drop by every now and again. I'll be doing the same with Pasadena!

p.s. I'd appreciate any recommendations for other photo-a-day blogs. With thanks and best wishes.

I'm glad you finally have some sun, and so many wonderful places in the Pasadena area to spend a lazy Sunday. Too bad you weren't able to get a photo of Boz and that peacock shaking their tail feathers.

Yeah, the overcast skies lasted way too long but I'm enjoying the weather now.

And I love the Arboretum!

Love that back view of the peacock.

Not sure what you mean, Cafe.

Hey Jean, everyone photographs the front view!

Trish is right. Peahawks! That's what.

Peas on earth.

Stupendous butt shot of the peacock.

I'd love to see you basking in the shade of your tomato plant. :D

Dina, you made me laugh. That's exactly what I said to the peacock.
