Zen Tuesday: #6

Zen Monday (and in this case, Tuesday) is the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about.

As I post each new Zen photo, I'll add a label to last week's to identify it if necessary (and if I know what it is).

Update, 6/7/09: this tunnel goes under Oak Grove Drive, connecting the hiking trails from the Brookside Golf Club to Devil's Gate Dam and Hahamongna Watershed Park.

At the deep end of this economic tunnel: will it be an inferno, or light?

Stay away from the light, Carol Ann!!!

How can you leave your mark for posterity when they keep painting over it?

Keep moving forward, there is a new beginning waiting to be discovered.

Choose Salvation and everything that was before will seem pasty and drab by comparison. ;)

Neat shot Petrea!

I'm sure Steven Spielberg's around here somewhere.

No Leaf Clover by Metallica: "then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel was just a freight train comin' your way"

I keep waiting for my patchwork painter to see the light.

Trish said...

Don't know if it is a train comin' my way, or the land of milk and honey shining brightly before me, but I'm gonna venture out there and have a gander. If it's a train, may I have the ability to get out of the way fast enough to see if the land of milk and honey is beyond it.

I came for my Zen Monday On A Tuesday and I was not disappointed.

The light at the end of a life's long journey may just be a drop off into oblivion. There's no need to rush.

when i saw this i thought of "The Godfather" (don't ask me why). "Just when I thought I was out, they keep pulling me in" or better yet....
"I have to see my father and his people so have dinner without me"

For the realists, the tunnel's end reveals a lovely field of well cared green lawn...

If this is the way, let optimism be at it's journey's end.

God to gang members: If Pasadena's graffiti abatement team has to paint over your signs one more time, I may have to send you toward the light!

I'm with Laurie. One look and I thought "Poltergeist." I had to sleep with my rosary after that movie.

Well, at least I got part of my hallway painted.

Was hoping to enlarge this photo and see that it is indeed the entrance to the baseball field shown yesterday (both great shots, btw). No such luck, but I still think I'm right. Am I?

Such a simple photo and such a vast array of comments, from heaven to hell! This has been one of my favorite Zen Mondays. I should have them on Tuesday more often.

A warm welcome to the new commenters!

By the way, none of the location guesses are correct. I'll update this post with the location next week when I post the new Zen Monday shot.

Tryphena could just barely fit her Hummer through the passage, but destroying the motocross track on the other side was worth it.

I like your zen twosdays better than the zen mundays.

Ugly paintover, or a primer for more graffiti. A passageway leading to an inferno, over-enlightenment. No serenity there, either passing through or emerging.

Petrea Burchard said...

A primer for more graffiti. Cynical, but probably true. Tryphena would know what to do.
