Zen Monday: #45

Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about.

As I post each new Zen photo, I'll add a label to last week's to identify it if necessary (and if I know what it is).

Hey come on, P, you kinda already did this one just de other day!

Anyway, they've decided to make a baseball field out of the old car lot.

It's an old joke but...

"I got it!
I got it!
I got it!

BOOM

... he got it."

Bobby desperately hoped that really was a giant lead pencil headed towards him.

It was tough for his mother to accept, but Bobby it was a price that Bobby did deserve.

He didn't like the response he got for asking if he could have the baseball glove a bit cheaper!

I'm going to side-step the Zen theme and marvel that this artwork looks an awful lot like Banksy.

Any chance that it is him?

Yeah, it looks like inspired by Banksy.

Be careful what you wish for

I'm so glad you found this - there's one that must be by the same artist under the 134 freeway bridge over the Arroyo. I spent a lot of time trying to find out if it was a Banksy, but I think Vanda's right, he's just been the inspiration.

the 134 drain boy no longer exists. Some A-hole tagged over him. Maybe it's the work of Dena

I guess it could be inspired by Banksy, but it's not as slick, not as professional. That's not to say this artist isn't working on his or her own style and coming up with something interesting. Just not as polished as Banksy yet. One thing I thought was interesting about it was the look he/she achieved of a pencil drawing there on the painted brick.

Thanks for the link, PA. Interesting to see that.

Friends, I'm sorry I'm still not doing much blog visiting. The Mac Mini arrived Saturday and we picked up a needed dongle today. We should get it hooked up tomorrow. In the meantime I've had the Dell AND the laptop on my desk, one for email and one for the web (long story), my desk is crowded, I don't like the browser on the laptop (what's with the new tabs and bookmarks on Firefox, does anyone know? ARGH!) and I feel discombobulated. I would like to get this taken care of soon, but in the meantime it's a pain.

OY!

Thank you all for being here today.

Petrea, I feel for you! We went through this a while ago when our PC picked up Malware, from an evil company that kept trying to sell us Winzip virus detection software. There's definitely a learning curve to moving to macs, plus the Mac Mini is not as fast so things load a bit more slowly, but once you're used to it, and Macs in general, you'll be happy about all the things that they do more easily than anything Microsoft have come up with. I looked for the 134 "Banksy" today and am very sad it's gone. Glad I took a photo of it earlier.

I feel your pain.

You probably just have a newer version, or different theme of the FFox browser.

Yes, Cafe, I'm going to download an older version of Firefox today. The bookmarks were more efficient in 2.something. At least I preferred them.

Daisy, I don't like hearing that the Mini is slow! Ah. Whatever. It's got to beat the system I have now. I really liked the Apple store. They should call it the candy store.
