Zen Monday: #38
Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about.
There's no right or wrong. If the photo evokes something in you, that's all it is.
As each new Zen photo is posted, a label is added to last week's to identify it (if I know what it is).
Update, 3/9/09: Now I can tell you. The light in the sink was a reflection of a beam that came through a slit behind the window shade.

Ahh!, You got to use the services of the celebrity photographer again!
Well, this is an excellent xample of the modern turntable.
Okay, so the water is backwashing from San Onofre again? Don't worry, you and your fixtures should stop glowing within a few weeks. Just have someone from JPL come over with a Geiger counter to make sure your levels won't kill the house plants or small pets. ;^).

I can't think of anything clever to say but I love the white and minimalistic shot.
Oh - I found some of those beauty queen shots of myself. Ah, if I could only stay the same size as in the seventies!...
god is everywhere.
Oh look, the American Dream going down the drain!
Worship the Porcelain Agnostic!
(cue washcloth angels)
Are you trying to tell me I need a wash?!
I didn't lower the tone this week! Yay! :)
Ok: Now I'm going to out myself as a parent and Harry Potter fan: Help! There's a basilisk down here.
Radioactive sink?
By the way, I shot that with my phone, which is why it looks like colored confetti when you blow it up. Petrea has higher standards for her own photographs.
Let your light so shine that they shall see your good works at conserving water...
First thought was "how did Boz "flush" a flashlight down the sink?"
Second was "you, light up my life!"
Third was "oh cr@p! what's in the water?!?!?!"
GREAT shot John!
The Shining (Sink)
Mr. Clean at work.
Is the drain dismantled and someone shining a light up through the pipe? Or is there just a flashlight at the bottom of the sink? Lovely lighting, either way.
Whatever they were hiding in that briefcase in Pulp Fiction ended up getting put down your drain!
I have nothing Zen, but that's a very cool photo.
God is in the plumbing
Maybe it's "holy" water...
And now your bathroom is blessed.
#38 is a good one. Bravo P!
Well. I had no idea how many people found spirituality in the bathroom. As John said, "Just because it's luminous doesn't mean it's numinous."
I also enjoyed the film references. We always like those, over here at the old homestead.
There's no flashlight (or basilisk) in the sink. Tune in next Monday and check back on this post, and I'll add an explanatory photo to show how the sink got lit up.
A pipe dream?
...
Oh! "rubstifi" sounds naughty!
A year ago this would have meant nothing to me. Now, with my new bathroom complete it means:
tile, not marble or granite
overmount, not undermount
single faucet unit, not 3-piece
lighted, not unlighted
Ah!
I've been thinking of getting rid of the word verifications, but the spammers are still out there and the verifications can be amusing.
Elaine's next "challenge" word may be cldshowr. Nobody will ever guess where that weird sinklight originates.
It recalls a hitchcock scene...
All it needs is a cat -- in the sink.
(Explanation coming in one of my near-future posts.)
Some good responses here - LOL on AH's and DBscan.
great photo!
"Dude, how did my wii get down there?"
