Zen Monday: #26

On Zen Monday you experience the photo and tell us what you think, rather than me telling you what to experience from viewing it.
There's no right or wrong.
If the photo evokes something in you, that's all it is.

Duh!!

I like that windy little path. I wonder where it goes.

Is it a path or a river bed? Everything look so dry, I guess Homer is very worried about that! Just look at his face!... :-)

Not as controversial as last weeks, but it looks like the dunes at the beach to me.

Like Vanda, I'm inclined to ignore pop culture (as much as I loved The Simpsons in college) and take the little path to anywhere...

My first thought was, ``Where did this picture of the Outer Banks (NC) come from?'' Dunes all look the same, I guess.

As for Homer, I guess he's been banished and buried in the sand for slagging the plant.

I think Homer has had one too many beers at the beach party and had to step into the weeds when nature called. Unfortunately, the paparazzi were hot on his trail.

Now that is a Homerian epic.

You guys are impressive because I came up with nothing. After a dramatic windstorm in the 1920's When the sphinx was found buried to its neck in sand. But I guess there's no parallel here.

Doh! I slid off the road, wait, what road?

Perhaps Homer drank a little too much spiked eggnog?

Typical of debris to be found in the Burbank Wastelands (21st-century location of the Film Roman Studios), ca. 2106 A.D.—after the Great Terran Exodus.

It was shortly after this that quasintelligent dogfish colonized the L'Angeles Wetlands.

This is one of the locations on the ZorroThian compound in alta dena where PA lead detectives in their search for MH. Or, was it MH who took them in search of PA??

How do I know? A police-dog shepherd mate of mine barked the news 2 me.

There must be a way to weave "The Day of the Locust" into this, but I'm not sure how. Been too long since I saw it.

Homer's got "Arroyo" mouth. This time, it wasn't the donuts.

You know I am way to ...something and can't do the Zen thing. I want to but I get stuck and can't move on.
I want to chat about Eric's blog. No not the nude sculpture, which was a nice diversion, but the tea thing. I was thinking there was tea that assisted with things that men need assisting with. Get my drift? Maybe I made that up in my mind. I just couldn't figure out how to say it on Eric's blog which in retrospect, was a much better venue than here on your "nice" blog. But i am not going there tonight and his subject matter is a yawn. I am being a good girl. Hope I didn't start something.

Looks like Homer had a bad day...

It is indeed a riverbed, JM. Or it has been, and will be again. We hope. Homer probably ended up there the last time we had rain.

I always have fun on Zen Monday. Honestly, I love writing, but it's fun to let everyone else do the writing for me on Mondays. I go away and write something else.

Frankly I don't see why the sphinx couldn't have anything to do with this, AH. There's a riddle as to how this DVD case ended up stuck in the side of a dried-up riverbed.

I had to look up "slagging" and "Film Roman" - how's that for epic?

Oh, and JT - "Arroyo mouth." I'm going to use that.

Virginia, you can come here any time and talk about whatever you want. I like us to be nice to each other but we don't have to talk about nice subjects. Let's start something.

I'm late, I'm late... I'm always late, but I'm here.
But poor Homer, he's been left there to be swept away with the February lanes/I mean rains! (Here is a you-won't-believe-it moment...I stopped at a trail today on the way to work, and took pictures of the trail & spotted a nice colorful patch of old road flags or something & of course took a picture of it - not as nice as finding Homer but...)
I've gotta go to Eric's site now to see if you've started something.

Phil Roman is a really nice man, like warm sand and Matt graining.

How sad, that a Simpson should have to mar this landscape.
