Zen Monday: #22

On Zen Monday you experience the photo and tell me what it's about, rather than me telling you what to experience from viewing it.
There's no question or answer, no right or wrong.
If the photo evokes something in you, that's all it is.

Nice post. Interesting position to be put in.

In the name of love?

All are welcome, as long as you keep your distance.

I see an expression of a facet of human nature - to seem open and honest and hospitable just so long as you don't come too close and penetrate the facade that we hold up around our true selves.

The signs are to stop any vehicles park because they are expecting something to drive through those gates. A delivery perhaps...

Pretty boring answer...apologies!

Nice light and vivid colors...
You might find me obsessive these days but blogger ban situation comes to my mind when I look at this; dualism, ying yang situation, paradox or anything similar... You're welcomed on the other side but you should pass the stop sign first.

Stop! You may not enter this door.

I have nothing clever to add, just back visiting after a long absence. Sorry. Love the shot though. Illustrates feelings of conflictedness.

However, I find that the study of traffic cones is indeed a serious one. For more information visit

Center for schizophrenia?

No Petrea, but they were nice enough to let me shoot them while they were changing it, and I just took a few liberties...

Still have your postcard. Sorry I have been so late in sending it.

What is the sound of two cars crashing?

Uh, I've been waiting here all morning. When do I get to "GO"?

The artist Lana Shuttleworth will be coming by soon to pick up her art materials

Stop the Construction! We've run out of money! No bank will lend us cash and we have nothing left to sell to cover our costs!

Sharon said "Center for schizophrenia?"

In that case, they'd have double doors.

Welcome to Dr. Johnson's eye clinic. Please move forward to the stop sign, place one hand over your right eye and read each of the notices on the bulletin board.

Today's comments cause me to think that our reactions probably come from our emotional moment. Just a guess (except in Monoblog's case). But perhaps Hope's been to the DMV today and Ann's been to the optometrist? I just hope Cliff wasn't in an accident...

Thanks for the cool link, Kelly. And the very interesting google search you sent me on, PA.

Stop -- you may not continue until you submit to a security scan. Coats and shoes off, please. Arms raised.

Once you pass the scan, you are entitled to a warm welcome from us and our community. Perhaps you'd like to purchase lunch, a martini, jewelry, t-shirts, a few souvenirs, help the local economy...

When I look at this photo, I think how easy it would be to just kick the stop sign down and completely ignore it. I guess you're right, Petrea, our reactions most certainly do come from our emotional moment!

I wasn't in an accident, I was simply wondering what was happening at the intersection where that Stop sign was supposed to be...

P, 1 of your best Zeners!

Is this at a church or school?
This is so ripe for comment, but not from me, so little time.

So, i'll just say: "Trust, but verify!"

It's definitely a "don't mess with me" sign

Waiting for the court order. No trespassing.

Hee hee, Ms. M.

Merci pour le cadeau, Lucio! Bienvenue.

Kick it down, Kelly. No one would blame you!

Cliff, I'm relieved. Not so, the other guys.

It's a church, Cafe. You are observant.

Therese, the funny thing is it all looked so innocent. I have no idea what that stop sign was protecting.

Obstacles, testicles, whatever.

Mary Kathleen, the nuns are going to spank you for that one.

If the nuns are anything like their male counterparts, they may do it with xtreme pleasure.
