It is probably (for sure!) the best photo I have seen in last time! Fantastic atmosphere, brilliant woman, perfect composition... . C o n g r a t u l a t i o n !
I'm not feeling the zen here and I say that with kindness and admiration. This is my second favorite photo of yours. I concur with Ben, it's a woah photo.
Ka-pow!!! What a fabulous photo! Why don't I see fireworks like this when I stop by the Apple store thought? I guess I need to wear a red dress next time.
Awesome photo! The exuberance of the light contrasted with the quietness of the person. The orange against blue. The repeat of pattern in the dress and the lights. And her thumb! Love the thumb.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. I'm glad you like it. I was very taken by the color and light and just had to shoot it.
Right, Bernie. That's why I was in there. One too many shut-downs from the dreaded "blue screen of death."
Torun Observer, as I can't comment on your blog I'll tell you here how much I love your photos. Thank you for visiting.
Mary Kathleen, actually she doesn't have to, as I'm not being paid for the use of her image and I was within my rights to photograph her. But if she were to contact me and complain I'd take it down for her sake. She'd have to prove herself, though!
Palm, I get your point. I wondered about it. Maybe a better title would have been "Zoned Monday." I was so mesmerized by the vision of her and the background that I left my purchase behind. Thank you for liking the photo anyway. And of course you've intrigued me by saying it's your second favorite!
I'm not thinking zen when I first see this photo, I'm thinking, wow, this is cool. but it definitely looks as if the woman pictured is having a zen moment. That's how I feel when I'm at the apple store too btw.
Lydia: I haven't run a poll. Might be fun. I've thought of doing a 2009 calendar of favorites, maybe. The ones that got the most hits, say.
Dina, a friend gave me an old Mac laptop (well, we worked out a trade). I'll have to take classes to re-program my brain. It's a nice machine and hopefully won't crash on me on a regular basis like the Dell does. I'll miss the big screen, though.

woah! Very cool shot Petrea. I like it a lot.
Yet another reason to stick to Macs: the only sparks are on their posters …

Great shot. I like the way the red dress stands out from the funky background :)
Mesmerized by your photo! The backdrop is amazing! I love the way the color sets off the orange of this woman's clothing.
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Having a Mac Attack!" Nice way to start out a work week...with a bang!

Thumb. Ha! Not so clever me. Lucky me.
Like the pic. That 200page manual is paying off!

Art mag quality! This just might be your best shot yet, Petrea. Have you ever run a poll on that topic?
I'd probably feel like she does at that computer, but wow, I should LOOK so good.
So are up upgrading? Nice.
Elaine: okay, I deleted him.
Thanks again, everyone.

Wowee, Petra. This is a beautiful, eye-catching photo.
Thank you, bibi!
Gorgeous shot Petrea.
OK, have fun with your new (new to you) Mac. In Hebrew we say "Tit-chad-SHI!" = May you be renewed by your new thing.
Nice picture... I like the background!!
