As it turns out, 'soler' is a Spanish word for 'occasional', so it would be appropriate for this little lamp, as it'd only be used once in a while. Then, there's the 'lamb in a cage'. I looked that up, too, and think the 'candle in the wind' comment works if the wind is a lion. All this is to get to my question: Is a candle in the wind what drunk guys do on a dare?
Oh, hello hello! This has been an odd, good, weird day at my house and I think this has been an odd, good, weird Zen Monday as well, don't you? I laughed out loud at a lot of the comments and thank you, I needed to.
A huge branch (huge! maybe 28-30 inches in diameter) fell in a yard on our block today, barely missing two small children. Apparently this really happens in our current weather conditions. We were all a little freaked out.
Just thought I'd mention it. Be careful out there.
Between the drought causing trees to shed their branches, have you been affected by the little earthquakes? I was working on another project, so only listening to news of clusters of tremors somewhere in CA.
a lamb in a cage :))
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. It is definitely a lamb in a cage. Exactly. This is fun!
ReplyDeleteExcuse my ignorance, but what is 'a lamb in a cage'? never heard of that phrase....seriously...I did notice the spelling and thought maybe ...

ReplyDeleteJohn says, 'Wait for the sale.'
ReplyDeleteAnd it comes in blue, too.
ReplyDeleteWe spell it "soler" so you can't get your money back when it doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteFor that price, it should include the "sunflower" (pictured on the right), to enhance the "soler" power.
ReplyDeleteA lamb in a cage -- a Soler Lamb. Sounds rather religious, doesn't it? The cult of the Soler Lamb.
I got nothing.
ReplyDeleteSolar lantern? With the threat of yet another hurricane, I"m thinking this might be a chic way to light my apt. when we lose power.
ReplyDeleteCrap, that wasn't a zen comment at all.

ReplyDeleteI have felt a couple of little tremors, Speedway, but John didn't notice them. They are strange things. I'll never get used to them, nor should I.
