P: Don't recrop it because then it will look like there is something wrong... Is the kitchen pretty small? If so, then that explains why certain things are placed haphazardly...
I don't care that it looks a little "well used" and messy; it just shows the place is busy. Any coffee shop whose staff are smart enough to appreciate the correct use of sarcasm is somewhere I'm happy to drink.

It's funny how some Zen Mondays turn out exactly as I imagine they will, and some take a turn I could never have guessed. This one is the latter. I was absolutely certain you'd all be bandying sarcastic remarks back and forth all day. But I guess that's hard to do without tone of voice.

Friday mornings at this favorite Altadena establishment are rush rush rush. It's a one-man operation and our dear barista takes care of customers first, clean-up when the rush fades. We love him for it.
A picture is just a moment in time. Personally I think that this looks fine and is a place where they make coffee rather than a place that is perhaps more about being seen to make coffee.
Shell, when you come to visit we'll go there, as we will to all the finest establishments.
You're right, Paul. They make very good coffee, in an atmosphere where folks feel welcome. It's a neighborhood gathering place, where people meet and news is exchanged.
The barista is post-ironic.

There's a great deal of chaos in this world. Some of it goes away after a double shot of espresso on ice.
