Zen Monday: #209

Zen Monday is the day I refrain from telling you about the photo so you can tell the rest of us, without influence, what the photo makes you think, feel or see. Let yourself go. No one is passing judgement. Really.

  2. So, was the sign put there before or after the Honda was parked??

  3. I always wondered what Jesus would drive.

  4. I think this is All Saints Episcopal. No popes here, Episcopal logo in sign. The circle of possibles narrows.

  6. some people take their orders from a higher authority.

  7. Why don't they just pray that nobody parks there?

  8. That's the new car of the new Rev at All Saints, the guy in from New York, where they call this "Standing". He's not parked, he's standing.

Just wish the new car had been from the Rector dealership in NorCal! ;-)

  9. wait wait, it's not parked, it is just going so incrementally slowly that the movement cannot be detected by the human eye!

    yeah, yeah, that's the...uh...ticket!

  10. try this again.....without blogger editing it...

"We believe in one holy apostolic Honda; we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of ignoring parking signs; we look for the resurrection of the forgiveness of parking sins, and the life of the parking gods, to come. Amen!"

  11. The "Parking Angel" charm hanging from the rear-view mirror turned out to be worth every one of the 10 dollars he'd paid for it.

  12. The driver was at risk of being towed away to Heaven...or perhaps the opposite end of the spectrum!

  13. Maybe it just depends how much one puts into the plate....

If the new guy is from NY, that explains it. I don't think people obey vehicular laws there. Pedestrians sure as heck don't obey pedestrian laws.

  14. Perhaps the sign should have read: Thou Shalt Not Park.

  15. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God." (Psalms 20:7)

  16. Maybe the driver had a Very Special Authorization. From above.

  18. @Altadenahiker: Good one! Made me laugh out loud.

A brand new glossy black Honda in an unauthorized zone -- the devil's in the details....

  19. I"d like to tow away some of my fellow CHristians that don't know the meaning of love thy neighbor!

  20. Oh, you guys make me laugh! I'm going to start hanging around churches for more Zen.

    Makes sense.

This is indeed All Saints Episcopal Church. I must defend the new guy from New York, if indeed there is such a person. This picture is more than two years old. I came across it in my files and thought it would make a good Zen Monday photo.
