Zen Monday: #185

Sometimes I have to look far and wide for our Zen Monday photo. And sometimes, the Zen just calls to me.

Zen Monday is the day you tell us what the photo's about, rather than me telling you.

This shot's for context, in case you'd like to have some.

  1. Loose change aside, rock and a hard place prevail. So let's make art.

  2. comparing the weight of dumb bells to rocks...

  3. Obviously, this is conceptual art.

  4. This represents my good intentions: exercise, make some money, build something cool, and make something pretty.

  5. Making little rocks out of big rocks and getting paid for it. Then pump a little iron during the down time.

  6. Delicious rock soup, a dime a bowl. With iron, 5 cents more.

  7. I bow to my betters on this one.

  8. Ah, troll checkers, a great game. Looks like rocks prevailed over metal this time.

  9. OK, I gave it everything I had -
the rocks in my head, the lose tile in my upper story, the weight off my mind, and every last penny I'd ever gotten for my thoughts - and still, I can't think of a damned thing.

  10. Using the weights to pulverize the rocks which will then be used as kitty litter. A savings of $1.15

  11. Tash wins with the rock and a hard place.

  12. Playing a new kind of poker?
Weighing down the table before the next windstorm?

  13. I really thought the game was over after Tash started off with such a bang. But there's some funny stuff here. (Kitty litter, anyone? A penny for your troll checkers?)

I don't know what I would have said about this myself. I saw it in my friend's driveway and frankly, I have questions.

  14. I thought there was a culinary clue in the jug of wooden spoons in the second picture.

We want answers! What was it all about?

  15. Oh, ha! That's a cactus.

I don't know, I'll have to ask her. Maybe she was cleaning out the garage.

  16. It is a new training routine. If you lift a small rock, the trainer will give you back a penny. If you lift a slightly larger rock, you get TWO pennies. If you lift a 5lb dumbbell, you get a quarter.

  17. Maybe she was just cleaning out from under the car seats. Maybe?

  18. This looks like an apocalyptic version of chess

  19. I agree. Or the future of rock/paper/scissors.

  20. Petrea---please---rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock! ;-)

and now that I look at it, it DOES remind me of the "loot" I pulled out of a truck we bought at auction years ago. I think you'd need to add a Costco sized box of Cheerios, a few plastic Army men, a few marbles, a CD of music *I* had never heard (nor never planned to listen to again unless I was cracked up) and some sticky stuff that I think were once Jujubees to round out the "auction truck undertheseat lottery pile"!

  26. I was wondering if I should delete them or leave them, but I kind of like them, especially along with your last comment.

I was also wondering why I see more double comments lately. Hey! Just be glad I'm not using that awful word verification. One thing that works really well on Blogger is the spam filter.

  27. You may not have that blasted wv anymore, but blogger has required me to attempt to post comments more than once, then log in again, then try to post again...in varying options. One blogger I know was getting a complex about the lack of posts in response to her blog, but now she understands some folks have just given up trying to make it work!

LOL on leaving them...glad I can provide entertainment! I'm here all week! thankyou, thankyou...

  28. Oh, and don't think I haven't noticed your commentary...glad to know you think I'm nice, smart and good looking too! ;-)

  29. You absolutely are, Trish, and yes, I'm getting a complex (but not on this particular post).

I appreciate your comment. You are a nice person—smart and good looking, too.
