Zen Monday: #176
Zen Monday's the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what I think the picture's about. There's no competition, no right or wrong. We're here to have fun.
My owners told me that wearing this beautiful collar was a good way to get lots of attention, hugs and strokes, and they were right! Can't wait to walk down our road and show it off to all the other dogs.
Aaaaaahhh … Huge hugs for the poor convalescent. I hope he's soon well enough to dispose of his fashionable Dickensian collar and get back to being his normal self.
Old Boz wishes that he could borrow Maggi's collar (http://tiny.cc/4m8t0) that is SO mch better than his lamp shade. Wonder if Kate (Visual St Paul) would send Maggi's collar so he could wear it for New Year's eve. Nobody wants to run around during that holiday with a lampshade!!
I bet he doesn't understand why he has that cone on...I feel for him... as far as the photo: Hear no evil, see no evil....-just want the damn thing off!
Saintly old Boz is right. He's being (relatively) patient, although he's made it clear he's not enjoying this. Speaking of clear, Kate, he was able to get past the little pillow collar (foot to eye is easier than teeth to ribcage, for example) but we ordered him one of these: http://amzn.to/rzvEFM
Poor Boz. He must be very confused about his humans' behavior towards him. Is he possibly contemplating a second career as a table lamp or wall sconce?
Boz will dog up and will get through this. I'm sure he's getting lots of love and I'm also sure the outpouring is somewhere near the affection and love being sent in his direction.
when I saw the sneak peek image on the blog roll I thought it was a holophane glass shade. Exactly what I wanted for Christmas (besides the pony) and like the pony - didn't get. But at least I have my health - and Bozz has his back too
Kelly would be happy to loan her padded cone...but says it's a bit heavier and even more annoying than the plastic cones...but aren't so hard on the furniture!!!
Cafe, isn't it awful? We got him eye surgery for Christmas.
I like the idea of a ceremonial cone removal. He's been getting (probably too many) treats, so perhaps by the time of removal the relief will be enough.

I think animals know only too well what these things are. They go to the nice office that smells like other animals. Wake up with a HELL of a headache and other things hurting, and come home wearing this stupid lampshade. As when "Mom and Dad" have parties and people end up wearing lampshades and making loud noises, drinking funny drinks, they know. They just wish the cocktail had been bacon flavored!
@Chieftess/Petrea ergo---why animals don't usually like going to the vet--a "party" everyone else seems to get to attend, but that the animal only feels the hangover.
don't blame them one bit!
then again, I'm so full of fried potatoes I think I should get a cone of shame so I don't ingest anything else anytime soon! Might make driving a little tough tho!
*I* hate going to the vet because I can hear and feel the fear in all the animals. The CoDA types want to take care of the sick ones and the healthy ones just hope they don't end up like Boz, hungover and not knowing what hit them.
Hoping Boz is recovering quickly enough to give a good "On Wisconsin" or "Ooooooooo, quack" on Monday!

Poor Boz! At least he can still enjoy the small things in life, like soaking up some sun on the porch.
