Zen Monday: #52

Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo and give us your thoughts rather than me telling you what the photo's about.

As I post each new Zen Monday photo, I'll add a label to last week's to identify it if necessary (and if I know what it is).

  1. Goodness this is International News! How much is California being leased for exactly? ;)

  3. Cool photo Petrea... California is for lease! Looks like yet another Lake Avenue failure. :-(

  6. I don't think this is what they were singing about in California Dreamin'

  7. I'm sorry, something else caught my eye. You have 300 followers? I guess we know who gets to be homecoming queen this year.

  8. It's funny because it's true. This photo reveals another secret.

  9. Hmm... this could be the beginning of my plan for world domination. First California, next, EARTH!

  11. This is what I get for watching an NCIS marathon over the weekend...

It was the first thing I noticed when I clicked for the bigger picture.

  12. Jeez, Ted, now I'm concerned about you.

  13. That is certainly a sign of the times...
    :>) at Shell Sheree's comment.

  14. Shell has the popular comment today. Poor Governator didn't stand a chance with the budget. It's like trying to get a row of brick walls to negotiate. I agree with Shell, he's still in good working order.

Hiker, go take a look at Susan C.'s http://openmouthinsertfork.blogspot.com/
It's going to take the both of us to hold her purse for the rest of the year.

I was concerned about you, too, Ted. I mean, an NCIS marathon? Couldn't you at least read some Danielle Steele for your erudition? Then I reread J+P's comment and I wondered, "boodupsi? Am I worried about the right person?"

  15. Actually I'd never seen the show before... tripped over it channel surfing and just left it on while I cleaned house etc.

I checked further and the picture is of (the former) California Pharmacy 555 S. Lake Ave.

I don't think that's bad considering I'm on the other coast...

  16. Ted, you are now an official Pasadenamaniac.

  17. yes folks, you CAN lease California...we'll even throw in the Governator as a bonus (for US, not you...but ahem)...

and Petrea--*what* budget. Once again, it was due today and as has been repeated since 1986...we have no budget for next year. sigh.

It reminds me of the "lowlight" of the technology boom in Silicon Valley...we'd see "for rent" signs on telephone poles...usually one would think it would point to a rental...some folks might have been renting the pole for $1500 a month...t'was a good deal at certain times!

Tash, it was 329 this morning!
