The Zen photos will now be numbered instead of titled, so as to leave more to the imagination.

When we last left KG, she was pondering closed doors and looking for an open window. Now here is a door with a window and she is sorely confused.

The view into the outside looks promising making me want to find that door so I can pull up the shade and let in all of the light.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very hospitable exit with the foliage just outside and a shade on the door. The interior is now empty but will be full for upcoming classes?

ReplyDelete...Looking around, she found she'd indeed walked in through the out door, and to her horror, was wearing only her raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second-hand store...
The person outside the door ran out so quickly the shade only shut 1/2 way and the rug rolled right up with all that energy going out the door. Outside, we see a tent being put up right under the telephone wires.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a post-quake picture from the perspective of the couch which is stuck inside still. Or perhaps someone in the path of Gustav, blocking the door with the rug, setting up a tent outside because the house is not habitable.
Either way, it seems not complete.

I flunked haikus in school so I can't even jump in on that action. I will just say that I think the angle this was shot from (were you lying on the floor? you go girl!) is what makes this such an intriguing photo. Think about it shot at eye level - boring. Well done Petrea as always.

The screen pull with the bakelite ring looks like something from my grandmother's era. It reminds me of my grandmother and the smell of lilac.

Winston longed for greater olfactory connection with his woman, but, cruelly, a rolled floormat blocked the draft from outside. But he could see her, and in that sight felt some fulfillment of his compulsive devotion. Her last words to him, seemingly ages ago, were: sit, stay. And he did.
ReplyDeleteOoh... I like this idea... let's see... open the door to a sun filled garden. There's a picnic laid out under an oak tree (there absolutely has to be food AND loads of dark chocolate.) Of course, there's a creek somewhere in the background. :-)
