Zen Monday: No Parking

Oh go ahead. Try.

Zen Monday is the day you experience the photo then tell me what it's about, rather than me telling you what to experience from viewing it.

  1. Ok, so they meant...all the way around...from the outside edges of the signs...right? ;-P

  2. You know the message on plastic bags that says, "Do not put head inside bag. May cause suffocation and death"? Well, this message is targeting the same audience.

  3. I think maybe a Smart Car could wedge inbetween that teeny tiny space between the signs, but why risk a ticket?????

  4. I'm sure we can find something to park between those 2 signs :)

  5. More like an Auzenne moment. I know those rocket geeks work with close tolerances, but this is ridicule-ous …

  6. It's not the signs that cage the tiger, but the space between the signs...

  7. The empty parking lot fenced off behind the signs is the other part of the message. Just don't park.

  8. Petrea, this is a good ZEN Monday photo, but a little bird alighting just between the two signs would make a GREAT shot! But do you have the patience to wait? Imagine fielding questions of those passing by seeing you with camera focused on the fence. What would you say?

Lic...Nice, I like your take on the photo. You get my Zen Monday vote!

  11. You are all so interesting. I love Zen Monday.

Please keep 'em coming. I won't say much. Just this: Coltrane, I'm not known for patience. And elizabeth, that is SO L.A.!

  12. LOVE IT!! Made me laugh out loud!

I think it is a statement of the futility of trying to obey all the signs all the time!!

  14. Happy anniversary, Christie! Christie's wedding anniversary is tomorrow, everyone (lucky 13). I ready about it on Paris Daily Photo.

Elaine, you're in a good mood these days.

  15. well that's wide open, then. since it didn't specify, can I choose which signs not to park between?

  16. I don't know what it's about, but I'm having a hoot just looking at the photo, over and over. Fantastic fun!

  17. Great zen Monday photo! Maybe a Gumby car could fit -- just s-t-r-e-t-c-h it, long and narrow...

  19. Have never participated before, Petrea. When I see this photo, I am immediately pulled into the regulations and barriers, and the ultimate confusion and paradoxes.
Must remember to come back on Mondays. Very interesting concept!

  21. I just realized that it actually means

"We ran out of NO PARKING ANYTIME signs, so Carla our secretary dug these out of the basement and saved our butts."

  22. OK I wish it wasn't nearly 1AM Wed. here! I am sorry I am late.
these signs must be pointing to other signs that we can not see.
In Zen that means things aren't always what they appear to be, sometimes you have to trust that there is a bigger picture that may help make sense of things in the smaller picture.
Now I have to read what everybody else wrote!
