So okay, these are the tippy-tops of the condos at 111 S. Delacey Avenue. Which doesn't leave a lot of options for where I was when I took the photo.
I wish I could remember who recommended the tops of parking lots as good places from which to shoot photos. This lot's at the corner of Delacey and Green.
Cool! It would be nice to have a little patio up there but it doesn't look like there's much shade. The cropping of the photo makes me think of a large ship for some reason.
ReplyDeleteInteresting photo! I like the big expanse of sky and just a hint of green. I agree with Keith that having a patio like that would be nice. I wonder what the view from there is like!
ReplyDeleteNot much of a view there Petrea, just building tops and infinite sky.
ReplyDeleteI think one of them just moved …
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to think that parking lots are places that have a top!! Here we have no parking structures outdoors, although I think there is one that has a roof like that at the hospital, but all other parking lots are just that; flat, paved, uninteresting parking lots. (except for the murals on the walls of the buildings nearby!) But that's a post for another day! Thanks for showing us beauty from above, Petrea!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I hope they open to catch air as well as light. Might be fun to gaze up at on a clear night as well.
ReplyDeleteThere it goes again. That is so weird!
ReplyDeleteKeith: like those big steam pipes, maybe?
ReplyDeleteKatie: rooftops. We don't have any skyscrapers. The parking lot is 3-4 stories high and I think the condo has 3 stories, plus the skylights makes 4.
Likewise, Miss H. :}
Lindsey: rooftops and sky. Not so bad.
Bernie and Miss H, you're scaring me!
Christie, what's lovely is that you live in a place that doesn't need high-rise parking. I like living near the city (LA), but I'm glad America still has its small towns. Petoskey sounds a lot like where I grew up.
Stars, too, maybe, eh Elaine? It would be nice.
