It was an awesome day. My dad takes so much joy in creating a great lunch for us. So although it was Father's Day, it was his pleasure to make a great tailgate lunch for us. He also bought the fishing rods and taught us how to cast. There were other people there casting and fly casting (not sure of the term). Joggers, runners, dogwalkers, and horseback riders came through and exchanged pleasantries. I remember going fishing with my father when I was much younger, around 25 years ago, so I never realized how serene and relaxing it is to be in that kind of environment. My sister and I really had a wonderful time practicing and learning all sorts of new things. I'm putting together a slide show to document my experience with my 65-year old dad.Ayeshanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-14891790510067186932008-06-22T10:16:00.000-07:002008-06-22T10:16:00.000-07:00Thanks, Andree. Thanks, Andree.Petrea Burchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13043950465171821852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-41219941279236400442008-06-22T04:38:00.000-07:002008-06-22T04:38:00.000-07:00Look at the wonderfully perfect reflections! an id...Look at the wonderfully perfect reflections! an idyllic spot.Andreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08159511912645034019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-31880513541479160222008-06-16T18:56:00.000-07:002008-06-16T18:56:00.000-07:00;)one for dina, and a different one for cindy in p...;)
one for dina, and a different one for cindy in pas., which would be more like :}Petrea Burchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13043950465171821852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1067046564433930606.post-67146667430120108932008-06-16T12:46:00.000-07:002008-06-16T12:46:00.000-07:00Awesome photo. On Saturday I saw two men practicing...Awesome photo.

On Saturday I saw two men practicing fly fishing on the little island on Del Mar & Lake.... clearly an Orvis employee selling a rod.
