Curses, I need to see my optometrist again. Or maybe I'm trying too hard. Argh, the performance pressure ~ and the first comment as well. I'm sorry, I have nothing. {I'll stand in the corner now.}

I'll join you Shell.

So, what hole do we start on first?

It may be the photo. It's a bit dark. I'll see if I can lighten the lower one so you can see.

Petrea Burchard said...

See if that helps.

Fort Knox, western branch.

Hmmmm...looks a bit like the homes we see in Tecate Mexico when we go down for a Corazon build...

You know you are blessed to live in our prosperous countries when you cross the border a few miles, and this is the standard of housing.

This is about a block and a half from me, Chieftess. It's got a pretty front yard, no sign of poverty. Just so people know.

And a security system, too, along with the bars on the "door"?

Poor is one thing, this is another. I am touched by the door. Someone had an artistic inclination with the window. There's likely a long story here.

method to it for sure.

Hmmmmm, you sure take your pigeon racing seriously over there. Aint no one going to steal a bird from this loft.

What the heck is in there? It's either a torture chamber or a nightclub. Come to think of it, a nightclub would be a torture chamber for me.

all it really needs is a string of Christmas lights

Maybe it's the very well-disguised home of the next hot internet start-up.

I was going to say chicken coop, but it looks like a camera up there and a mic on the door, so... garage band?

Bob Crowe said...

Nice choice. A garage that illustrates being and nothingness.

ATwo things come to my (admittedly very strange) mind:

A) Rust and relaxation at last.
2) We don't need no stinking badges.

I don't see it. Still.

I think the photo doesn't show it well enough. It's the two security cameras and the double locks that made this one interesting to me.

Loved Deb's comment! First thing I think of is crack house. Except I think the door would be less artistic and more fortified. And I do like that door.

I imagine some charming and paranoid old guy, shuffling about in there and talking to his buddies on ham radio. He makes cool electronic stuff from old parts. The neighborhood kids love him.

A funky, Zen garage. Was there music playing from inside?

Petrea Burchard said...

Ms. M, I've never heard a peep from this garage. Seems like they should play "Inna-gadda-da-vida," doesn't it?

Is that Jesus on the wooden panel to the right of the window.

Hi Randall! I'm not sure. Could be smudgesus.
