I thought I'd post this because there's been so much green on the blog lately due to the rain. We had a long, hot summer this year, which I loved, but after all that brown I become a glutton for green.
This was a hidden, rear window in my neighbors' garage. I say "was," because they've fixed it up and now it's nicer. I'm glad I got a picture of the messy old thing, though I'm not sure my neighbors are. I love this kind of stuff.
I have thousands of pictures I doubt I'll ever post. But taking pictures can be like record-keeping. You never know when you'll want to look up something you almost forgot.

You're right--green it's not.
The way you framed it, makes it look appealing!. Frankly, I can imagine it hanging on someone's garden wall with a bit of art on it... A frame for a small mural... just needs a bit of creative flare on that window...- stained glass effect....
Seems to indicate past and future, all rolled up into one.
Such diverse, interesting comments! Dina started me off with a laugh. And KBF sees the "antique" look I saw. Adele, you speak poetry--I didn't see that until you said it.
'Amusing', signed your neighbour :).
I love things with age on them - pity they're regarded as a sign of untidiness. The wood blocking the window's like a palimpsest, isn't it?Wish I could read what used to be there.
Let's hope so, LOL! Maybe they won't recognize it.
Palimpsest is one of my favorite words, Bellis.
I imagine many stories were hidden behind that window. And now I'm off to look up "palimpsest."
Is that the number five down in the bottom left?
An excellent word for an excellent thing, don't you think, Susan?

Sharp eyes, Margaret! You win our prize, a $10 coupon for Yankee Candles that came in our mail today.
Love all the texture - wood of all sorts throughout.
Photos/scenes like this are fascinating. We used to see these kind of garage windows when walking alleys in the old part of town.
Pasadena's alleys, for the most part, are relatively nice. Good photo ops.
