Still Life with Dog Paw

I've been wanting to post more pictures of Boz, but I know myself. I'm like people who show photo after photo of their kids--it's okay for the first couple of shots but very soon the pictures are cute only to the parents.

I am not Boz's parent. I'm more like his artistic partner. He's always got ideas for different shots to do.

Dogs have the need for artistic expression. Sure they do. Ask any expert.

  1. Still Life with Dog Paw would make a beautiful monitor desktop, Petrea.
And please, let's have more photos of Boz. He's a star!

And talking of stars, tomorrow is the big day for the ladies of Tenchi Muyo. I wish I could be there. Have a brilliant time.

  2. Thanks, Dive. Boz is definitely more famous than I am. Maybe I'll put together a Boz calendar.

  3. I'm not an expert on art, but … as an expert on Boz, I'll just note that for the last some years he's been in his, um, Ochre Period.

  4. Kids pics are cute, tho the teen years can be awkward. ;-)

Dogs on the other hand, are just adorable---providing they are actually in different poses or places. One friend of ours takes the same damn pic of the dog every week, month, year. Other than a little greying, he looks the same. Show me a pic of him out walking, or bounding thru the yard, or even sitting contemplating the vast Haha in front of him. THEN I'm interested.

And you are right, not really parents (except during that "No, no, don't do THAT!" portion of life). I like the artistic director name---that works!

  5. John, eeuw.

Trish, I like to think Boz is adorable. I'm not sure you should encourage me.

  6. Oh, it's a stunning photo. Love the way his paw is the same color as the other things*. If you'd hidden a tiny object somewhere in the photo, it would make a good Where's Wally? puzzle. Or maybe a Where's Boz?

You know, a Where's Boz? picture book or calendar is not a bad idea.

    * There's a word for this ground layer begining with D, and I've forgotten it. It's also the name of the beer Homer Simpson drinks.

  7. Great picture. I don't even know Boz, but I can tell he has doggy charisma!!

  8. Bellis, I googled "homer simpson beer brand" and came up with "Duff."

I have a couple of "where's Boz?"-type pictures. Probably not enough for a calendar, but maybe a post or two. That's a fun idea.

Patricia, you know I'm biased. But of course you're right.

  9. I'll never tire of pictures that you and Boz create. I love the acorn strategically placed in the corner opposite Boz's paw. You guys are good.

  10. I too liked that Boz's paw blended in so well and agree, it would make a great desktop picture

is it sad that I didn't need to use google to know that Homer drinks Duff?

  12. Book Dragon, you're up-to-the-minute, you're our pop culture maven. This is important stuff.

Here's what I'd like to know: is it only in the Midwest that one's duff is one's behind, as in "sitting on my duff"?

Doh! Speedway, all I can say is it's a good thing Homer doesn't have a dog. Does he?

Hi Kat! Welcome. Come by any time and say nice things. Or just things.

  13. Homer's dog is a rescued greyhound called Santa's Little Helper. Bart and Lisa love him very much.

  14. Okay Speedway, you and Book Dragon are in charge of pop culture. No fights.

  15. I"ve always known that Boz had an "eye". He proved it here. I think you and J need to give him more opportunities to express himself. Well... if he can get up off one of his four beds. :)

  17. V, he has five beds. Clearly, this canine artist is not starving.

    Desiree, exactly.

    Ms. M, I don't want to know who wouldn't!

  18. You can never post too many Boz photos for me, Petrea. I, too, love the acorn placement. A deft touch.
