Jeopardy

The answer is: Kids, babies, dads and dog butts.

The question is: What is a neighborhood when moms aren't around?

Ah, but the real question is: Who dressed herself today?

If I had her wardrobe I'd have chosen the same combo. Fortunately for my neighbors, there's no risk of that.

wow, if I'd have had pink in much of my wardrobe when I was her age, I'd probably looked similar.

glad she can just be a kid.

I'm laughing so hard, I just choked on my tea!
This is the set I work with, and I'm digging her addition of the chapeau to crown the whole ensemble. Petrea's Pasadena Sartorial for the Wee Ones Set. . .a new blog I've heard rumors of. :-) Very sweet and fun.

And, you wear what you'd like, girl, spotted leggings would look GOOD on you!

I had forgotten that concept: the first time a child dresses itself.

My son is nearly 28 and some of his combos are nearly this good.

What joy! Like Kim, I think her little bonnet-thingie really tops it off - the pièce de resistance! {I hope Boz doesn't get any ideas...}

She does inspire me to let loose a little!

These kids are some of the treasures of my neighborhood (as are their parents). We live on a fantastic block. I believe she's been dressing herself for quite some time now. Her skills only get better.

Don't worry, Shell. Boz has many things: bones, stuffed toys, even his own towels. But he doesn't have a lot of ideas.

And is that, in fact, Boz's little tushy I see in the background?

P.S: You are showing impressive range, today. Landscapes, little girls, what don't you photograph well?

Imported Hungarian pigs, Margaret. :) And the other thousands of photos I've deleted.

Boz's tushy and the snouts of some of his friends.

Even sadder: What is a neighborhood with no children living & growing from it?

The wonderful freedom of youth: you were whatever you want and it's fine. At one point do colors and patterns drain out of our lives (and closets)? I think there should be a(n inter) national dress like a 5 year old day.

I just love youthfully exhuberant clothing like this. Even her shoes are colorful. You've captured such a wonderful scene here - such energy! After seeing the photo this morning I still dressed in black pants and a black and white (prison-striped) shirt for work. I don't think I own anything pink; maybe I should.

Oh, man. me too. (though maybe with a little less pink)

Why do they only make cool tights in little girls' sizes? Stripey tights speak directly to my soul, and little girls get all the great ones.

And then when your hair turns silver like mine, you look good in pink all over again!!! What a great photo P. I have some granddaughters that would absolutley drool over her outfit. And tell Boz he's got one cute tush.

Tell her I want my hat back when she's done.

This photo gave me a big smile. I'll have what she's havin'.

Oh, I know, Vanda! I look at my closet for something fun to wear and it's all gray, black, blah. I've got to get some color!

Ha ha, Katie, I have one pink shirt and it's faded because I've worn it so much (because, like Virginia, my hair is silver and I look good in pink again). That ought to tell me something the next time I think of buying black.

Elizabeth, I will leave the tights to you.

V, if you don't mind I won't tell him. He's been praised too much lately and it's going to his head.

Karin, I don't think she's ever giving up that hat.

Merci, JM.

Susan, if only it could be bottled and sold, huh?

I looked this morning, Elaine. You are very interesting. Here, check out Margaret's post.

She IS the princess of power! She and her sister RULE THIS BLOCK!
